Carriage of human remains by flight
Need the below mentioned documents for transporting human remains i.e dead body of a person by flight -
Death Certificate - Issued from hospital.
Embalment Certificate - Issued where body is sealed in coffin.
Police clearance certificate. - Issued from local thana where death has occured.
Identity documents of the deceased.
Points to remember.
Always use standard coffins instead of custom made boxes as sometimes bigger coffin box does not pass through aircraft gates.
Reach airport minimum 3 to 4 hours prior to departure time and proceed to cargo counter of respective airline to process necessary documentation.
Approx charge of around 10,000 is charged fro transporting coffin from one destination to another.
